2. Sign-up for the days needed here: Camp Day Selection

Submit the medical form before starting camp to campforms@hurleyrec.org or mail them to the Hurley Rec, PO Box 58, Hurley, NY 12443.

Additional camp information (There is a lot of information. Please read it thoroughly.):

DAY SELECTION: Please, DO NOT sign up for days unless you know that you need those days for camp. In addition, we can NOT issue refunds for cancellations, including those due to sickness, change of plans, or other.

AGES: Kids ages 5 (or going into Kindergarten) through 14 are welcome to attend our day camp program.

LUNCHES: Lunch can be provided for $5/day. We will ask in the morning if your camper needs lunch. There will be one lunch a day (similar to the school lunch menu), such as hot dogs, chicken nuggets, or pizza. A meal will have a main choice plus a side such as chips, applesauce, or yogurt push-up, and a drink (water or juice). Please feel free to send lunch with your child as well. The lunch menu will be sent out before the week begins.

CASH: Please do not send cash with your camper. Campers can purchase a snack from the snack bar after camp.

WATER: A large water bottle is required for all campers to help minimize paper cup waste. We will have refill stations for water bottles.

SNACK: Please pack a healthy snack each day. Some examples include pretzels, an apple, fruit snacks, or an applesauce pouch. The snack bar will not be open for campers during the camp day. You may purchase a snack after camp from the snack bar.

SUN PROTECTION: Sunscreen and a hat are necessary at camp. Please send them with your child every day.

SWIM LESSONS: Swim lessons are available daily for an additional $5/day. We will ask during the enrollment process if you would like swim lessons. Swim lessons are given at 10:00 AM. Please let us know when checking in if you are signing up that day.

SWIM TEST: A swim test will be given to each camper before they can receive lessons or enjoy the pool during free swim. Each swimmer will be given a colored bracelet allowing us to see their swim level quickly. Please try to keep this on them for the week. If it comes off or becomes soiled - please let us know, and we will replace it.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: We will be watching the weather closely during the summer and may need to cancel camp for the day if the weather is not cooperative. This includes tornado warnings, severe thunderstorms, or other severe weather occurrences. The camp will operate as much as possible during rainy periods or other non-severe weather occurrences. If we do not have power at the facility, the camp will be canceled for the day. There will be NO refunds if the camp is closed due to a weather event or power outage.

NEEDED DAILY: Name on all belongings, sunscreen, hat, snack, lunch if needed, and a refillable water bottle. Come ready to swim with a bathing suit, goggles, and towel. Please have your camper wear their bathing suit to camp in the morning. This will help to minimize clothing changes throughout the day.

DEVICES AND TOYS: Cell phones and tablets will not be allowed during the camp day. Please do not send any toys in from home, including Pokemon and YuGiOh cards. We do not want to see them get lost or broken.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP: Campers will check in at the lower pavilion. They will then head to the upper pavilion to drop their bag off and meet their counselor or stay in the lower pavilion. Pick-up will also be at the lower pavilion. Drop-off will be from 9:00 - 9:15. Pick-up will be from 4:45 - 5:00. Please drive slowly on the access road and in the parking lot.

EARLY DROP-OFF AND LATE PICK-UP: Early drop-off and late pick-up can be arranged for $5/each/per camper. For example: for one camper, an early drop-off and late pick-up will cost $10/day/camper. Early drop-off is from 8:30 - 9:00, and late pick-up is between 5:00 - 5:30. Please let us know the day before if you need early drop-off and/or late pick-up.
